About

Jodi (Owner of Stay Put Coasters)

Hi, I'm Jodi

I grew up on a small lake in Fenton, Michigan where we are well aware of the precarious relationship between dishes, wind and waves.

One day, as I went to stop a chip bowl from tumbling off a boat table, it dawned on me that I should be able to use magnets to do the holding for me.

After some thought and research, I knew that I did not want anything that would be permanent to my dishes or my boat table.  Even more important was that I wanted something that worked with a wide variety of dishes, from wine cups to tumblers to serving bowls, and even Tupperware filled with cookies.  Whatever I choose to use that day.  So, my husband suggested that I try creating the concept through coasters.

I set out to do just that and have been working diligently to develop and refine them ever since.

I sincerely hope you enjoy them!

Stay Put Coasters are assembled in Illinois and hold US Patents 10,561,260B; 11,622,642; D927,941; and D927,942, patent pending #17828003; and international patents pending.

Consideration in our development includes sandwhiching the magnet between steel, which helps to increase the magnetic pull.  We would embed steel inside the magnetized part, above the magnet itself, so that when you put your dish down on top of a steel element, the magnet would become "sandwhiched" between two pieces of steel, thereby increasing the magnetic force.
